Animax Communities
Animax is a global television network which broadcasts in 38 countries. Their parent company, Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) asked us to create social networking community sites for each region. The sites were created to allow Anime fans to have a forum to come to and discuss their favorite shows on Animax. It was also a means for Animax to communicate news and info interactively with their hardcore fan base. Playground Group built out sites for 17 different regions in 11 different languages. In comparison with the original network sites, there was an increase in average on-site time from 2.35 minutes to 21 minutes.
